In a significant move to enhance financial literacy across the UK, the CISI Future Foundation has awarded nearly £250,000 to three commendable charities: Get Set Girls, RedSTART Educate, and Crosslight Advice. This generous funding aims to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds with essential financial skills, fostering a more informed and financially resilient society.
Get Set Girls has been granted £39,589 to support its 'Empowered and Enriched' programme. This initiative is dedicated to providing practical financial education to 90 girls aged between 6 and 19 from low-income families and minority ethnic groups in London's Hackney and Haringey boroughs. By focusing on budgeting, debt prevention, and investment, the programme prepares these young individuals for a financially secure future. Rabbi Dunner, chair of Get Set Girls, expressed gratitude, stating, "We are so grateful to the CISI Future Foundation for generously giving us this opportunity."

Through workshops led by volunteers and complemented by a Money Management App, each student benefits from approximately ten hours of financial education per academic year. This approach aims to enhance children's financial and mathematical skills, boosting their confidence and future employability. Rhodri Mason, chair of RedSTART’s board, highlighted the significance of this support, noting, "This multi-year agreement will be a huge support to us in delivering and scaling our activity over the next couple of years."
